Love Promise Stories from Putnam Subaru

Subaru and Putnam Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here

Awesome Service- great people- the BEST DEALERSHIP  –  Carol L

Ethan took such great care of us when we dropped off our car for service. I am so impressed with everybody at this dealership. Tim Yurgal in Star training is so knowledgeable and helpful. Very friendly and professional people in every department. I would never buy a Subaru anywhere else in the area!

St. Vincent de Paul San Mateo  –  Kai P

Putnam Subaru in Burlingame is proud to support Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County (SVdP). In the spirit of love and justice, SVdP provides person-to-person services of time, talent and resources to help our neighbors in need. SVdP respects the dignity of every person. We provide Safety-Net services for families and individuals in our community who are often suffering, forgotten and deprived — the working poor, the homeless, the incarcerated, and all people living on the margins. We continue to support SVdP this season as our local hometown charity during the Subaru Share the Love Event.

Subaru Cares for the Community  –  Teresa V

Putnam Subaru and the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (SVMB LLS) delivered blankets to San Mateo Medical Center on July 12. The care team and leadership of San Mateo Medical Center thanked Putnam Subaru for providing good wishes, hope, and blankets to patients. The Putnam Subaru team thanked the hospital for welcoming the group and for its care of patients. The team felt a great connection among the group and noted how, in one way or another, all of us were connected to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission to beat cancer.

Subaru & LLS Deliver Hope to Cancer Patients  –  Shannon H

During Subaru’s Loves to Care month in June, messages of hope for cancer patients were written by visitors to Putnam Subaru. Those who wrote a message of hope at Subaru also received a bracelet to help spread awareness of LLS and the automaker’s goal to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time. Those messages, along with blankets, were delivered to San Mateo Medical Center, to help keep patients warm as they continue their fight against cancer, and to help spread awareness of LLS and Subaru of America’s goal to provide hope and care, one gesture at a time. The blankets were distributed to patients undergoing treatment at the infusion center. Everyone was so grateful for Subaru's generous donation! Thank you to everyone involved!

The "New Car " Experience  –  William T

Dan Dishart was the best! He greeted us as we walked into the showroom and did not "hound" us as we walked around looking at the different cars inside the showroom. When we were ready to look at specific cars, he was knowledgeable in any and all models that we wanted to see and test drive. It was a great experience and Dan made it so much easier and we felt he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and requests. We would totally recommend Putnam Subaru and Dan. Dan also sold my sister her new car a year ago and she too was very impressed with his profess as a sales person.

Putnam Subaru Community Appreciation  –

Putnam Subaru has a long history of involvement in the community through sponsorship to a number of events and fundraisers like charities, schools, foundations and organizations that provide services to our community. On April 5th we invited the people that work for these institutions to a Community Appreciation Lunch at our showroom. Delicious paella was enjoyed by all and it was an opportunity to let them know we are proud to be a small part of the good work they do. Please view our video filmed at the event. video link:

Putnam Subaru Loves being part of the Solution  –  Al V

Putnam Subaru in Burlingame supported the Love Promise campaign Love the Earth E-Waste program as an opportunity to help put an effort into saving the environment because e-waste is a growing problem in this electronic generation. We were proud to support our active and environmentally-responsible Subaru owners.

Sharing the Love with St. Francis Center  –  Sister Christina H

Putnam Subaru Shared the Love in a big way this year during the Subaru Annual "Share the Love Event". Kent and Kathleen Putnam with Al Vasquez presented a check for over $40,000 to Sister Christina Heltsley Executive Director of The Saint Francis Center in Redwood City. St. Francis Center is a nonprofit organization whose focus is on helping families in need in the Redwood City area and attempts to assist such families in whatever ways will allow them to live in dignity and become self-supporting members of the community.

Putnam Subaru Sponsors Peninsula Volunteers Meals on Wheels Program  –  Marilyn B

Putnam Subaru, located in San Francisco and Burlingame is proud to sponsor the Peninsula Volunteers Meals on Wheels program again this year. Putnam Subaru is always giving to our community not only because it's good for business, but because it's the right thing to do. Hot, Nutritious Meals Are A Real Life Saver! Every week, Peninsula Volunteers delivers over 1,500 hot, nutritious meals to primarily homebound seniors and adults with disabilities in San Mateo County who are unable to cook for themselves. In order to accomplish this, The Peninsula Volunteers depend on the generosity of individual donors, corporations and organizations. We are thankful for the partnership we have with Putnam Subaru.
